New Blog about Town

For anyone who would like to know more of the history of Cookham, a fellow blogger, James Hatch, has set up an interesting blog called Historical Cookham. James is a bit of a windbag on the Cookham forum (sorry James), but the posts on his blog are worth a read. A good perspective into Cookham 60-120 years ago. Oooh, I correct myself, there's a new post from yesterday that talks about the area 300,000 years ago! Heh heh heh. Anyways, certainly worth a look.

Missed the Grand Prix Race

I'm very annoyed that I missed the Cookham Gravity Grand Prix today. Lena had a long nap, which she very much needed, but it meant that by the time she woke up, it was nearly over. G was playing cricket, so I couldn't go without her. What made me very annoyed is the fact that I missed it last year too! I was very ill on the day and couldn't go. G managed to go and take some photos, so a couple of pictures from last year's Grand Prix to give you a feeling for the event and for me to console myself with.

Next year to make sure I make it, I might just have to get a team together and enter the damn thing!
